I found this knife when I was about 9 years old playing in the woods. It was partially grown into a tree surrounded by vines and moss about 3-4 ft from the ground. Nobody I knew could provide me information on therefore it sat in my closet for years. Now that I'm 23, I've decided that Im going to post it on here and see if I anyone can identify what kind of knife this is and its possible history. It has been wrapped in the same towel since I brought it home that day and it still has dirt in the crevasses of the brass for I haven't even attempted to clean it with any liquids what so ever. Any information provided or opinions on the knife is greatly appreciated!

Kris knife from the southeast Asia area. Probably a tourist item.

Looks to be phillipines, I have one just like it. They were made back in the 40's and are quality blades worth up to $100-$150 from what I understand. There were also tourist type replicas made in the early 70's that go for around $25.
