Trying to find my New Martinsville rearing horse bookends and ran across these Viking pitchers. A staple for Viking collectors. The orange is 17" tall and the blue is 16"tall. Doesn't look like anyone has posted these before.
I noticed that the smoke colored ones are often identified as being designed by Elmer E. Miller. Not sure why the colored ones never are. These used to be fairly common pieces.
I have a few really big pieces of brightly colored Viking that are not on CW. I'll try to dig those out and put them up. Thunderstorms here today and too muddy to hike and too dangerous to bike, so chain watching Errol Flynn movies instead. CW didn't create a new Viking Glass category as requested. Yet.
Beautiful colors & stylish design
These are a foot and a half tall, but you also have a few "really big" pieces...??? <wow><lol>
Putting up one of my larger Viking pieces that is easy to get to. I think I have a couple that are between three and four feet tall, but have them put away to protect them from my cats..
Thanks for the comment Newfld. The Corning Museum of Glass has some of these swung pitchers in their collection. They are iconic mid-century glass designs, according to Corning. Viking really rocked bright colors and I am a color junkie.
Thanks for the loves
