John MacWhirter Pictures - Silver Birch and River

These 2 pictures have been with the family for as long as I can remember. They are both signed WMac, which is the signature of John MacWhirter, born in Edinburgh, Scotland 1839-1911. He was well known as a Scottish landscape artist. I always thought these may be original water colour paintings, but we had them in for the frames to be mended a few years back, and so we were able to have a good look, and they were prints. The label on the back dates the pictures to pre 1928. I love them, especially the Silver Birch.
