Four fine Japanese pottery decorative pieces, of blond fine textured clay, with highly glossy overglaze, and silver decorations. Asian motifs of dragons, bird of paradise and medallions.
All marked.
Really beautiful, love the red one with the dragon
Thank you Newfld, always nice to read your positive feedback.

Thank you for the loves and very nice comments CW members.
i think the last one is Awaji. i'd need to see their bases to be sure though.

except for the lidded egg shape bowl, which has a red mark, they all have an impressed mark on the base, with a clear glaze, the Japanese pottery is an old one, they provided blanks to the better artist of the time, such as Kinkozan and Taizan, who painted and finished them adding their own mark as well.
These with the silver motifs, have been identified as Taizan in an Oriental antique reference book, but since mine are not marked I am keeping the pottery's name which is WAKAYAMA, Sandra Andacht in her book Oriental Decorative Arts, was the only one who ever identified and showed images of this type of pottery. I happened to like them very much, just like you collect Awaji, this is my part of my collection.
I think I will do a new post so you can see the bases and more detail for Wakayama glazed pottery items. Of course I am familiar with Awaji and their marks. Thank you for your interest.
Glad you liked my effort to explain the ceramic company these were made by, and the new post I created for you, with the base of the 4th vase's marks. It was my pleasure, I like to share information especially when I have learned about these and collected them since 2008.
