Thrift shop find today for $2.99, It is 12.5" tall and 5.5" wide at the widest. Unmarked, 4-5 lbs. Found in Champaign, IL where there is a large university so a fair amount of studios, galleries and international travelers.

The bottom is a mess, roughly broken pontil and a resulting chip that seems to go almost all the way through the bottom. This piece seems very pedestrian and heavy handed compared to much regional studio glass I see here, but still very pretty. This is a heavy vase with fairly thick sides and bottom.

    No idea where/who/when.

The finish of the underside would seem to point to much more contemporary studio production. Pretty piece...

Thanks for the comment welzebub. A lot of the apparent roughness on the bottom is glue from the rubber feet that someone had attached to it. I didn't notice that it did not come off when I washed it. I'll clean it off and repost an image of the cleaned bottom.

I am referring more to the center area which appears to be a snapped pontil mark with no cold work or flame work to clean it up.

Gotcha. I cleaned the gunk off and reposted. Do you think it is Bohemian, or should I re-classify it as generic "art glass" or leave it as a mystery for awhile?

It does look like someone beat the pontil off with a ball peen hammer...

Could it be possible that it was left as is, since it looks like a chip from the pontil removal seems to go quite deep into the vase. Too much grinding and there would probably be a hole in it.... It sits level and very stable as is...

I didn't find anything similar to this shape in my search of the Bohemian glass web sites...

I think it is modern studio glass, and the vast majority of smaller studios do not like to do cold work at all. Some of the nicer studios do, but most don't.

Thanks. I'll keep looking for a similar shape using Google search....

Whoever made it, it's a bargain thrift shop buy - so well done.
But I would agree, that it is most likely relatively modern.

Thanks for the comments welzebub and philmac51. I couldn't find anything like this looking for spatterware or end of day glass on either Google images or ebay/etsy.

      Thanks for the loves

Thanks for the re-love, Jenni! It forced me to finally get some decent images of this vase. My standards have changed a lot since I first posted it. I had forgotten what a monster this vase is. My scale is at my other house, but guess it weighs between 4 and 5 lbs.
