I think this is really cool. One always thinks about Hippie Tie Dye shirts and whatever, but here we have the source. An original 1960s DYLON COLD DYES Hippie Tie Dye Counter Top Store Advertising Display with a strong amout of the original contents - albeit not complete. It contains 30+ cold dye containers (15 different colors), along with approximately 100 instruction leaflets, and 6 boxes of Cold Fix (used to make dye thicker for painting on shirts). Made in the United Kingdom and if I am reading the printer code correctly, printed in June 1965 although this could date from the early 1970s.

I used to tie dye t shirts, still do sometime, if the color is off. Never used this type, unless you count painting a shirt with acrylic paint. Love to see these old mementos of an era long gone. Thanks.

Psychedelic! Jerry Garcia may have used it.
