    At first I thought this was some kind of wheel but now I have no clue. I know it's really thick an you can see where it's been put together. Any help is appreciated

      looka like a wheel / pully they used back in the day with large leather belts to drive machinery....and such...

      If we had another view of it then it might help. Don't be so cheap with the pictures and dimensions. Give us something to work with.

      I will agree with Caperkid, this is part of a stand for a feather tree.

      I worked in and old shop that still used the but rather them running off water they put a motor in place ,,,..lol

      Windwalker is correct. It clamped onto a shaft and drove, or was driven by, a belt off another pulley.
