This 5x5" yellow glass elephant is stamped 1981 on base in front, and was part of the early 1980s Bimbah series Mosser Glass made for Robert Henry's Art Glass (the R H in the shamrock imprint next to the date). There were 24 colors, this one is gold nugget, and the elephant mold was retired in 1982
Trunk up, good luck. Gorgeous glass elephant Jenni!
Beautiful moulding of this elepant !~
Nice piece with lots of detail!
This is a really nice piece with a really nice mould- the pale yellow is a really unusual colour for it too!
Thanks Karen, glad you liked it, I agree about the trunk up that's sort of been ingrained in me all my life that up means good luck, but since I like elephants occasionally they make them down - I have a great one by Kanawha to show you soon, with trunk down lol - thanks for the compliment
Phil it does have nice textured moulding, thank you so much for noticing & the kind words
MrsT I agree, this was a really nice model by Mosser, too bad they had to discontinue it after only a couple yrs (they made one new color a month, total of 24) but it must have been because another company contracted them to make it - a lucky find for me; thanks for your great comment
Lauren isn't the yellow nice, I almost got this in pink which was also pretty (many colors were slag glass which isn't transparent and doesn't photograph as nicely IMO), and I also thought, yellow is an uncommon color in animal glass, I hate to be boring so let me get that one! Great comment, thanx
Thank you Eileen, yep my husband had to assemble a couple new cabinets just for my glass animals! I was once asked about putting them in my window, wouldn't that be lovely, if only I had bay type windows. Glad you enjoyed
Many thanks for the kind luv everyone

Glad you enjoyed my yellow elephant Mani and aura, you're so nice & I thank you for the luv
Beautiful piece, and thanks for the info. A couple years ago I bought a small 25 piece collection of different color glass elephants, half was made by Boyd and the others had dates on them. After comparing with yours I now know they were made by Mosser. Thank you.
dlpetersen it makes me so happy when I've helped someone with their vintage piece, and these Mosser Bimbah elephants were a really nice item that came in such pretty different colors. I have several books I refer to for info, and always browsing that "a" book website to find others, wanted you to know I came across one recently called Glass Elephants with cover pix of nice vintage elephants that looked good. Thanks so much for the great comment
Ken thanks for your wonderful compliment glad you enjoyed this
Lol Thomas that's funny, thank you for the smile and now I'm craving peanuts, I like the way TX Roadhouse puts them in a bucket on your table
