Sometimes in life you have to do things that are quite sad but when doing them you find some pieces to your puzzle. My mother is ill as to the point where she doesn't wear jewelry any more. Me and my sister has recently been given her jewelry boxes. Going threw them makes me happy and sad. But what struck me most, being a jewelry collector, was to realize how alike her taste is mine and how much I remeber her wearing them. This large brooch is one of them, it's like the shining star you were to me when I was a little girl mum, and it's how you still are.
I don't know who made it but I remeber it from the 70's and I think it is beautiful. I was born 1971 but the brooch might be a little earlier.

We don't always realize how much we are our parents,in taste, manorism, thought ,my father passed away four years ago and I always thought we were so different , we weren't. This is a wonderful brooch Elizabethan. My sympathies for her illness. God bless.
