No clue what this is. Appears to be from a lieutenant J. A. Dijou of the Soissonns Regiment. There are two names and two regiments listed on it.

This is a gorget. they are worn on a chain etc. around the neck as a sign of authority. This one, of course, is French. They are collector's items with usually fairly high prices. Nice acquisition.
