This isn't a décor I've ever seen before. However the shape of the bowl seems to be the same as those in images 3 and 4 but as they are packed I can't be truly sure. I think the shape is best described as half an egg......
Height 13 cm./5 inches
They seem to be incomplete.Have you ever seen this type of bowl with any lid?
I have seen tons of these, and never an example with a lid of any kind. Great decor on this one. One I have not seen before either.
Since Welz did practical items such as candlesticks, life lights, open salts, tumblers, fairy lamps, jugs and sugar bowls I've often wondered if these were individual ice cream bowls for the dining table. Totally no evidence!
I love that spatter, great colours and application.

It's certainly a spatter to elicit strong feelings, Karen, ......one way or the other. Greatest fun you can have with Welz is coming across a new décor!
Thank you, MALKEY, greatly appreciated!
I love the idea that these could be ice cream bowls, sklo - what fun they'd be to eat out of! :)
Michelle, It was the first one I ever owned, sold as a 'French sundae dish' that gave me the idea. The bowl itself was similar in shape to the pedestal ice cream bowls that were commonplace in my childhood. Just a fanciful idea really :)
very nice
Thank you, kivatinitz :)
The rims on these footed creations are too sharp/delicate to be used for food serving. I think that they were “pretties”.....something nice to behold.
