I started looking for this pattern using 1.0 readers and 2 hours later i’m using 3.5 readers on my way to binoculars so it’s time to quit. The pattern is more intricate than any I could find on a sugar bowl or creamer with all kinds of designs and deeply etched flowers. The carafe or I’ve seen it called a guzzler is a Hawkes pattern. There’s a small plate behind it that’s raised like the Harvard pattern bowl but with pinwheels on the corners.Does anyone recognize this pattern? I’m still looking and if I find it I’ll change the heading. Thanks for looking.

The diamond cut glass with floral etching is just beautiful on these pieces, they look very compatible together

BTW know what you mean about the reading glasses, too much tablet gazing blurs my eyes after awhile, so I've just ordered a pair of the tinted type

Thanks Jenni for the compliment.I just happen to know something about glasses. It’s probably the only collectible thing I do know anything about as I now have over 500 pairs and I think I’ll post some of the rare ones.Armani,Dior and Versace all make readers but most have plastic lenses that are no better than the cheap one.The best readers you can buy are the older Foster Grant and Magnavision with real glass lenses. You can occasionally find these at thrift stores for a $1.They make a real difference on eye strain and there so much clearer.
