    The smaller photos have daes of 1873 and 1874 on them. The larger photos do not have dates, but looking at the pictures, they are from somewhere around the 2nd half of the 1800s. Great pictures. I do not know who the gentlemen in the pictures are as of yet. Research continues.

      It is the US Steamer Nipsic. There is a lot of information online about the ship.

      She was part of the Union blockade force along the Carolina coast during much of the Civil War.

      The photos look to show post war dry dock when she was being repaired or upgraded.

      Very interesting views.
