    i think that these are very early Jaru - maybe late 50s? early 60s? i've never seen Jaru like these before. kind of funny Picasoesque... but almost in jest! odd...

      Super find! There is some serious investigation currently being done into the early Jaru products. These plates are of 1950s vintage but, as far as I know, the artist has yet to be positively identified. Several artists as well as Jack and Ruth Hirsch sold their designs through the Jaru showroom - Edmund Ronaky, Greta Peterson, Peggy Nagel, to name a few of the easy ones. The unsigned pieces are a bit more difficult to attribute - I suspect these are Hirsch designs.
