This 6 cm large brooch is quite fun I think. I have seen similar ones on line at it makes me think it is art deco and czech. It think it is a fun brooch to wear and has an "egyptian revival" feeling about it even if it is clearly a chinese theme. Don't really know what to wear it with yet.

Yes I agree Valentino :) I think so too. I have seen one on Pintrest. It said "Max Neiger Brooch.Scarce1920's Neiger Brothers Chinese Theme". I don't know if the origin is certain but I think it is Czech and from around the time when this style was popular in jewelry.
