New addition to my collection. This highly visible barbed wire meets the visibility requirements established by most states in the late 1800s. The wires are threaded through slits in the barbs and crimped in the center to hold the barbs in place. The barbed plates are 1" wide x 1 3/4" long. No patent information has been found for this wire. It is #262G in the Hagemeier Barbed Wire Encyclopedia.
