This is an original WWII Kriegsmarine Officers Uniform set, the tunic, visor cap, and all the medals and ribbon are original except for the Iron Cross medal. This tunic was warn by Frey Andreas and his name is sewn into the tunics lining. The cap is an NCO cap but still looks good with the tunic. This uniform is discussed in a collectors military forum online and unfortunately nothing was found on the owners name. It is a beautiful example of a Kriegsmarine officers tunic and cap and it is one of my favorite pieces in my collection.

Very well made uniform, in excellent condition for age. Is Frey Andreas the name of the designer or the soldier wearing it, and is it true that Hugo Boss designed a lot of WW2 German uniforms

It is the name of the soldier, it is not a factory label it was definable sewn in by hand.

That is a striking piece. Their uniforms buildings and vehicles all had great style.
