Nice signed Sherman flower brooch, 2 1/2"L - I've never seen one like this before so I'm not sure of the age.

The oval cartouche would make it early to mid 50's as Eileen says. The brooches are not rare overall but Sherman made so many designs. Its always easy to find nice designs with so many to choose from.

I came across a brooch just like yours today, and I discovered your post while searching for similar ones online.
Just wanted to add that this Sherman brooch can't be any older than 1955, as that is established as the year when Swarovski came out with the new "AB" (aurora borealis) coating you see on these rhinestones.
However, the brooch does likely date from the latter half of the 1950s, as most people agree the oval cartouche dates from that decade.
Incidentally, while the oval cartouche on mine is in roughly the same spot as yours (see your photo #2), the signature is reversed (upside-down to yours), and one edge is slightly flattened to make it curve around the "stem" -- which, on mine, curves a little more to the left than yours. It's interesting that even on the same design, it's possible to find some small degree of variation.
