Another of my new acquisitions...this Bohemian Art Nouveau vase is made from "black" amethyst glass with an intense rainbow iridescence...it looks very metallic. There is applied trailed veining that meanders around in a very random manner. The vase measures 17.5 cm tall, 8.1 cm across the loosely crimped top rim, & 7.5 cm across the base, which has a rough, snapped pontil mark.
I think possibly another example of Kralik veined?
Or possibly Pallme-Koenig ?
Thanks for your thoughts, Bambus1920!
I am not ruling anything in or out at this point in time...
Whichever! It is a beaut! :)
Many thanks, Justanovice! I agree, it's fab whoever made it...
It has magnificent iridescence......always a plus in my book!
Thanks so much, sklo42, yes it definitely has an intense rainbow effect...I was able to pick this up in person from the seller who lived nearby, & had a lovely afternoon chatting with her & admiring her collection. Always nice to meet a fellow glass enthusiast!
Lovely vase!
