Hi. Hope someone can help. I found this red cased dish with thick ribbing in the North West of England some time ago, and despite much searching have not been able to find anything similar so I'm hoping that someone may be able to give me some pointers. It measures 9 cm tall x 12 cm in diameter and weighs 875 gms. There's a ground out polished pontil so I've been thinking either Poland or Japan but they are purely guesses. Any help would be much appreciated. Thnks

      Gorgeous ruby bowl.
I think there is a good chance this is Japanese, based on the way the clear case has been worked. I can't give you a definite attribution, but it's possibly Sanyu.
