It was an interesting day today. I found this beautiful little art glass flower bowl (?) and a pottery monstrosity (maybe too cruel). Anyway, here is the beauty of beauty and the beast. It is about 3.75" in diameter and about 2.75" high. I think it is meant to hold a single flower. It is signed somewhat illegibly (Vieriv 96?). Guesses as to the signature unless someone knows was it is, and then please tell me! The design is applied to clear glass and you can see through it when held to the light. Quite stunning really. A nice little piece of Goodwill art glass. No guesses as to where it was made.
or an art glass oil wick candle:

here's an auction with the wick:

Amazing glass identifying reflexes TallCakes! Thanks!
Beautiful, lovely mosaic design
I would never have figured out that signature!
you can find replacement wick holder inserts online
Not sure if he is still active... I found this article on him, though:

I like oil lamps, but with cats in the house, I am a bit leery of using this type of lamp. I may get a wick holder and wick for it so that whoever buys it at my estate sale will know what it is, though!
Thanks for the help and comments TallCakes and Newfld.
Thanks for loving my oil lamp!
