One Bisque Doll Head stamp on the back MADE IN GERMANY 161/2 signed B BEHAL 9/86 with a french 7 on the base of the neck
Blue Eyes - Open Mouth (no teeth) - dimple in chin - measures 6 inches from top of head to end of neck -I have looked at hundreds of similar pictures but cannot find one similar - believe it is a rare piece - anyone who can shine light on this ?
This is a reproduction doll head made in a ceramic studio by a student doll maker . Is is not rare and has no real monetary value .It was done in class in Sept 1986 by a lady doll collector {Behal was her last name )when true antique dolls were selling very high .
The head is a copy of the Mold of a Kestner doll from Germany . They would take a antique doll and make a mold of it . You would paint it and studio would fire porcelain for you . They also sold you doll wigs and bodies ect . Here is the real one they copied .
