Root began in 1901 and ended in like 1928, but their mark was seen on bottles by the glass-house that bought them out until some time in the early 1930s. In the 1910s-1920s, Root began putting date-codes on the heel of SOME bottles, so if there is a number on the heel of the bottle.. it may help represent a date for production of the mould.
It's likely 1910s-Prohibition era, as labeling on the glass the exact measured contents I don't think was mandatory till around 1910ish.

This is the address of a site that tells how to date historic bottles.
