Good afternoon all, This new 20 dollar vase is sort of a stumper? At first I thought maybe czech spatter glass. It stand 19 inches tall and 3 inches at base and 9 inches at the widest point. . The pontil mark is not as smooth as I would expect for Murano? I'm leaning towards tortoise shell more than spatter. Any and all comments are welcome. Thanks for taking a look.

I think possibly last 20 years or so and Chinese made. They made some good tortoise shell glass, and the shape is very Asian. Nice piece!

Thanks Racer! I needed someone with alot more experience than I have (2 years) that can look at things in a realistic light. I will mark it solved.

I collected glass for a long time and one of the reasons I stopped is that a lot good original studio glass and copies of old American glass was coming out of China and it was getting harder for me to tell what was not a copy, what was not Chinese and what was not American. That was 8 or 10 years ago. It is much worse, now. I am just resolved to occasionally buying a piece of Chinese glass, even though I try to limit it from my collection for no really good reason. Nice glass is nice glass.

Thanks Kwqd, Wow your insight is right on! This vase is really nice and I paid 20 bucks so why is there always a need to hit a homerun ? Plain and simple its look what I found. I have to mature to my art work mentality if I like it then who cares if it has a fancy label. :)
