A $.99 thrift shop purchase today. Guessed it was an ashtray before my fellow CWers identified it as plinth. It had been at a thrift shop about 60 miles from where I live for a couple of months and no one bought it. It has some mold roughness and a fleabite, so, of course, I spurned it. I finally tried to find images of it on line and could not, so decided I had better cough up the dollar and eight cents for it. It has a tiny Fenton mark inside and there is a "O" right below the name showing it was made between 2000 and 2009. It measures about 4 1/8" across and 1 1/8" high. Typical Fenton quality.

this was a stand they provided for some of their low bowls, pretty handy to have. I have been considering buying glass ashtrays to do the same thing....lol

ditto; this would be a plinth rather than ashtray...

      a zero would indicate c2000-2009

Thanks! Crap, now I have to see if I have an amethyst low bowl, and if I don't, start hunting for one....

Thanks! Guess the vase doesn't have to be amethyst, then, but after a bit of though, I realized that I have one of these sitting on a marble plinth:

Meh. The vase is too big for this base. Sigh.

don't know why; I've accessed that site for years with no issues... it's a great source for Fenton catalogs.

I use Edge most of the time with no issues... tho' it's probably the flash issue and the site hasn't upgraded beyond that...

I have software called NoScript and Ghostery installed under FireFox. It is flagging it , but not telling me what the issue is.
