    I bought this vase some weeks ago, confident it was Welz even though I'd not seen the shape before. The décor is known and the rigaree is thorny feet AND hanging thorny feet! Since then I've seen a plain green version and a shorter version with a handle, aka a jug/pitcher.

      Thank you, Manikin. I'm still surprised to see so much pink Welz as it is such a contrast to my early Welz finds in the U.K. which were spatter mixes of strong dark colours.

      Thank you, Karen. A lot of the thorns do suffer damage, but at anything between 100 and 140 years old it's almost inevitable. Often you can only spot the damage with your fingers!
