Black Forest Musical Fox Whip Hook

This is a late 19th century Black Forest Musical Fox Whip Hook that is in fabulous condition. It is Swiss made. This rare hand carved Whip Hook comes with an original restored music box that sounds beautiful. It measures 13" tall and 4" wide.
The wood for the figural body was carved for most part from “linden wood” or walnut.
The horns that were used as hooks attached to the carved figure were horns of the Chamois which is a deer/goat animal that lives in the Alps.
