    Recent acquired this pair of Majolica candle Sticks. Similar though not identical in form and decoration - my feeling is they are either Spanish or Portuguese but the marks on the underside are all but illegible. It does appears to say either "hand made" or "hand painted" - the balance is a mystery. Thought there might be collectors of Majolica who might recognize and/or decipher? Each measures about 5.5" tall thanks

      I can make out Hand Painted and what looks like Portugal, like Vetraio said. Then It looks like some kind of mark was put on top of this. They are lovely
