I posted this old clay “decanter” along with another with an applied frog. (Both still not identified so I need help.) Today I discovered faint MARKINGS on this one! There are drawings scratched into both sides ... birds? Definitely a zig zag design on one side, looks like frog legs?. Also note a pie crust “stitching” ... a seam perhaps? Can anyone identify this type of clay pottery? Looks primitive ... but origins? how old? THANKS!!!

Hi Brunswick - Appreciate your reply & suggestion. Thanks. Yes I wouldn’t be surprised if my mystery clay pots originated in Mexico. Still researching. Thx again!
