Hunting scene. Small watercolor. 2 1/2" X 3 1/4". Very finely done. Seems to date to 1950's. Unsigned.

From a fancy estate. The owner seemed to have a lot of nice hunting related art and prints (including some original framed Audubon-Bowen Quadrupeds of North America 1849-1854 prints. My favorite was the one of the Wolverine).

Any ideas about the artist will be appreciated. There is a fairly good possibility it is by Aiden Lassell Ripley (1896-1969, MA, USA). Strokes match his.

    Thanks

Take off the back of the frame - look to see if there is any identifying information on the back or under the mat.

Did that already. Even inspected carefully with a loop. Nothing. Thanks though.

the photos are pretty fuzzy, but you might want to research Aiden Lasell Ripley (American, 1896-1969).
