This is a neat little brooch. The setting looks silver but have not seen any markings. Any ideas on age or any other info?

Very beautiful, the face looks like a Roman Empire soldier or gladiator
Hi Mrstyndall, I have been looking at similar style rings and they call the style Intaglio for the back engraving method.
