Cool looking knife. Hope someone can help you. Welcome to CW.
That tang stamp is "Saxonia / Cutlery Co. / Germany." I had a couple Saxonia knives and they were small inexpensive knives like this one with cast iron handles. Essentially, nothing is written about them in reference books. Levine guesses ca. 1930s but there is no German company or trademark by that name in the exhaustive Walter & Ritter's "German Knife & Sword Makers 1850 to 1945." This leads me to speculate that the brand MAY have been contracted by a U.S. firm (hardware store, etc. - there are about 100 Saxonias in the U.S.) and not stamped with the actual manufacturer's name.
Uncle Ron thank you so much my friend at work Pat clean that knife up you wouldn't believe what it looked like when I found it he was not sure he could even do anything for it
Uncle Ron I bought 3 knives at an auction that day for $1 all rusty that knife took almost 2 months of soaking it and penetrating oil to open the blades
my friend Pat I consider him the knife Whisperer you sir are the knife wizard thank you again for the your information the handle or scales on that knife are not cast iron they were not Rusty they were more tarnished I have not been able to use a magnet on them because he still has the knife
