I found this doll. I have no idea where to even start researching her. She has no markings at all. Her eyes open and close. Her hair is attached through a rubber type cap that has been glued to the bisque (I think that is what she is). Her body is cloth and stuffed with what looks like pieces of scrap fabric. Her head goes over her chest and over her back (sorry, I don't know what its called). It looks as if she had a bonnet or hat on, her hair is a little thinner in the back. I would appreciate any info anyone may have on her. She is about 17 inches tall.

I haven't the slightest. Although when they had the bisque heads with the shoulder/chest plate attached it wasn't uncommon for them to be sewn onto other bodies (by a mother or the owner) when the old body got worn out. I would say she's either unmarked in the first place or the body was marked and that's not the original body.

The video I posted is the story behind this doll. It's what we call a Walda doll. It's a later version with the closing eyes

Very interesting Vesta. No wonder the face looked familiar since there were so many made. Great Video
