King Crimson goes new wave! Even though I think the musicians were all in their 30s.
This was one of the two best concerts I have attended, the other being Peter Gabriel at Golden Hall. King Crimson did not have a fancy light show and Robert Fripp never asked the crowd to put their hands together. It was listening music and there was a lot of listening to do with Adrian Belew, Tony Levin, Bill Bruford and Robert Fripp. That is pretty much the ultimate all star band.
Did not attend the talk with Robert Fripp. I have a feeling it would have been a bit over my head. Back in the 70s he said "our music is not meant to be enjoyed" and other warm and fuzzy things.
These clippings are from the San Diego Reader and possibly other San Diego papers.

Adrian Belew later joined the 2nd incarnation of Talking Heads when they added Bernie Worrel and others. The guy could make magic with his guitar. Check out Talking Heads Live in Rome sometime on Youtube to see him wail on his axe. Many thanks for sharing this.

Thank you very much Toyrebel. I have heard him on The Great Curve, gets the biggest sound out of a guitar I have ever heard. Will check out Live In Rome.
