I found these lamps yesterday. They are dated 1972 EF & EF industries. I just think they are fabulous! Now I just need to find some nice matching tables for them to sit on. Made my changing room into a upstairs livingroom! Any thoughts or comments are welcome. Thanks for looking!
A lot of these had small tubular metal mesh inside the glass bottoms and could light up. I hope these would have had them. Some had and some did not. They used a tri-light switch. Good find. Nice to see these signed and dated.
I see they were located out of Chicago. They may have had a pair of hanging lamps to match which were often unmarked.
I would of loved to see the hanging ones. These are missing the mesh inside. But do have a light. Prolly rewired at some point in their life. They are just absolutely huge! Much bigger than expected. Thanks for the comment Phil!
When they have a metal diuser, the light is particularly beautiful. These would basiclally just have the bottom part, for a chain hanging pair of lights. My father found a nice set years ago, they are dated 1973. The lamp is dated but the hanging lamps are not !~
Please excuse me if I'm out of line saying this - I don't think the shades you have are quite right for the lamps, I think they're too tall, and too narrow. What do you think?
Please by all means feel free to comment. Thank you. I'm not sure if they are original or not. But the bottom of the shade ends at the top of the base. So it lines up nice anyways. I'm just glad they came with shades. Not sure if I will redo them someday. But for now I like them.
