    Anyone no about stones
    This is a crazy looking crystal / gemstone to me the outside looks like a snake pattern I’m trying to find someone who can tell me what it is
    but if you can help grate I have books and looked online and cant seen to find out what it is maybe a fossil it looks cool though

      That's a septarian concretion, aka septarian nodule. It's not a fossil. These formed from balls of clay buried in sedimentary deposits that dried out and cracked, allowing various minerals to seep in, which over time formed the different colored crystals inside. I used to find these on my family's farm in upstate NY - they're very cool.

      As a rock hound myself this is a really great specimen. I collect lake Superior Agates, I find my own and have never bought a stone myself but I know that some people will pay a ton for the right rock! Sorry I cant classify it but I have a few books too and will take a look. Post if you find out:)
