1939-40 Netherlands Passport of mixed couple with 3 children under NS occupation

This document for a husband (catholic) and wife (jewish) with 3 children exemplifies the stress the Dutch had to endure under the Nazi occupation of Holland. This document was issued in 1933 but used up until 1940. The passport was renewed in Paris one month before the surrender in May 1940. The last entry photographed above > the last page with any stamp has a permit issued by the Dutch consulate in July 1940 in Pre-Vichy Toulouse allowing the couple travel to Curacao - a Dutch colony in the West Indies that did not require a Visa to enter and was a sanctuary for Jews escaping Europe. A mystery is the listing of a third child -Andre-born in September 1940, Stamped in Marseille in the Vichy Zone- where were they at the time? In Marseille? We know that Marseille was an exit city for refugees at the time. In review of the photos above, the family was in Paris in 19 May 40, Toulouse in 12 July 40, and Marseille in September 40.
