    Recently found this at an auction. Curious as to why Ford Motor Co. would need Citronella Oil? Does anyone know anything about this? Curious as to purpose, age, and value.

      Assuming that the seams on the bottle don't go up to the very top of the lip, it's probably pre-1920. Also assuming that citronella was known to repel mosquitoes, the following is my guess:
      When cars came out, they were a big thing. There were made special attachments to use part of your car to hold a sheet (for a tent), even. It may be related to car-camping. I wish I could recall who put out the article on it, but you'd be amazed.
