Hi everyone! LONG TIME! I could not figure out how to add photos in the new posting template! OMG!! ANYWAY - After almost a YEAR - I FINALLY figured it out!
What is this marble? You can see how large it is, but it is NOT totally smooth. The blue is recessed, but I can't tell if the white is an overlay! I THINK it is. Old or not? I found in the yard of an old craftsman house built in 1922.
Possibly a mal formed clam broth marble. The colors are right but the way they are presented is wrong. By that I mean the blue should be swirls. Research clam broths marbles and you will see what I mean.
Hi Celiene, very pretty spotted marble. Know what you mean about the new posting scenario, it's harder with a phone, easier with a tablet I've found

This one has no clear glass coat over it. NOW that I look at it under a loupe (duh!) I can see that the blue is little bits of blues glass, not fully melted, but embedded in the white glass. Like the marble was rolled in blue bits. They are all in far enough to not impede the rolling of the marble.
Marble is totally opaque.
Any idea age?
I should say like milk glass. The white is like milk glass.
Oh - I see now it's a speckled or confetti marble. Thanks all!
Hello Celiene whatever it is it is cool even better that you found it I have had problems since I rejoined this site still cannot follow or categorize things finally able to love and like thou
Hi, I found this yesterday here in Oslo, Norway. I got really confused of what it is. It was on the side of a rock, stuck in it almost like it was growing out of the rock like mushrooms or something. At first I thought it was some kind of candy, so I smashed it really hard to the ground, but it didn't break or get any scratch. What is it? Some kind of natural gemstone? Or is it synthetic? I wanted to post a picture of it, but can't a place here where I can attach an image. Would appreciate an answer. Because this is the only place I could find it. (searched it by Google lens to get here BTW). But it almost look exactly like this only it's flat in one end. Don't know if it was broken but that where it was attached to the rock.
Mine is a speckled or confetti marble.
