I bought these knives about 20 yrs ago from a street vendor in Poland. They seem to be from Uzbekistan or Eastern Europe. Does anyone have info about them, and the inscription ?

Are you quite sure these are Asian knives? The inscription seems to be written in Arabic script- "??????". Although I think the Uzbek language uses a similar alphabet?

The word doesn't mean anything in Arabic (although I'm not really fluent... so I may be wrong), but it seems to be a name. I think it's the maker's name or something like that. I googled the word and it brought up pictures of similar knives- that may help you find more information. I hope this was helpful!

Oops- I don't think this website recognizes Arabic script, I put a bunch of question marks instead... no matter. Here is a link to something I found google searching the word- https://forum.wordreference.com/threads/persian-urdu-???-???.2350613/
