I have a 1930's Orphan Annie that my mother got for her 10th birthday. She over wound it the first week and never wore it again. I had Roy Rogers & Trigger and Babe Ruth but passed them along to my son.
fhrjr2, it's great you still have your mothers Orphan Annie watch. The Orphan Annie I have, I believe is from around 1938. I also have a Babe Ruth, Roy Rogers & Trigger, Dale Evans & Buttermilk, Lone Ranger & Silver & HopALong Cassidy, among a few character watches.
Sounds like a great collection pw-collector. My mother's Orphan Annie will be passed on to a grand daughter. I can't seem to bring myself to sell them so I pass them along. I had a really nice 1882 convertible that my great great grand mother gave my great grandmother for a gift. It has been passed along and I sometimes kick myself when I look at my bank account. Oh well, can't take it with us.
I am with Beethoven, because even if you are blown up and can't hear you can still function.
