I can only make out part of the word on the bottom line of Tang stamp, starts with,(little). This knife has wood handles, no brass liners, all steel. Dose anyone have I idea who the maker is? Also there is no lanyard hole or ring in handle.

I collect old electrician knives. It looks like a military issued TL-28(Tool Lineman 28). Can't see the name on the blade to identify. Many manufacturers made them for the military, Camilius made a lot. The wood handle was common on these knives, especially during WW II. The TL-28 is sometimes engraved in the handle, with rare ones having white paint in the engraving.

I'll try to dig out my knives and try to match the manufacturer. I've got to find them first.

This is definitely an "electrician's" or "radio man's" knife but it is not a military version. The liner lock between the blades was patented in 1926. The bottom line reads, I believe, "Little Valley" (N.Y.). The only company I know of from Little Valley that arced their name in the top line, is Cattaraugus but that doesn't look much like the word Catteraugus. Keep in mind that the words on a tang stamp are center justified. That can help give you an idea of how many letters are in illegible lines.

Uncleron you are right the bo5om word is little valley, I can also make out the word ;cutlery , in the center, the top word could be catteraugus. Still can't make it out clearly . Thank for the info. That really helped.
