Last week I was in a local thrift shop and happened to see this necklace hanging on a rotating display with the junk jewelry. The company name and Italian Assay marks are obvious to me, but not to the register clerk. When I was ready to pay she said to me, "Oh, I must look this over one more time." I got annoyed and said, "Why must you do this?" She whipped out her trusty loupe and looked at it while I held my breath. "OK", she said, "1 Euro". OMG, if those marks had teeth then they would have bit her. She must only understand Dutch marks, and anything else is just meaningless. Weighs 7.37 grams. Scrap is 150 Euro. NO, not scrapping it.
Can I laugh out loud now?
Thanks for stopping!
