Just received these today. None are marked-two have a C clasp. The top blue brooch had quite a bit of verdigris, but after a soak in vinegar, it is now verdigris free. Does anyone know if the last one is real coral or not?? It had some white residue when I received it, and I tried to clean it off. When it was wet, you could not see it, but after it dried, it was there again. I might be able to gently scrape it away. Thanks for looking!
Lovely brooch selection MrsT! Each has its own beauty, the top blue faceted oval stone has a perfect antique setting, the possibly real coral has a driftwood or wishbone design, and my fave is the lapis blue convertible pendant/brooch which is so versatile
Nice collection, great find, I try not to buy items that need a big cleaning. Hope you get more info !~
Jenni, thank you for looking. Glad you like-yes the lapis is nice as brooch or necklace.
Phil, thank you. When I bought they were in a lot group. Did not see the verdigris in the pics. Glad it was an open back brooch and was not foil backed. I was surprised it cleaned up so nicely. Appreciate you commenting :)
Re-in-vintage, thanks for the tip. Most of the verdigris were on the claw teeth holding the stone in and some on the back. It came out nicely! Thanks for looking
Also anything with a large stone is prized by collectors !~
