I picked this little wooden box with a bunch of drawers and noticed the small name plate " Henry Paulson and Company Jewelers Supply Co. Chicago Illinois." After a little research I found out that Henry "Hank" Paulson the U.S. Secretary of the Treasury had a Grandfather who started a watch repair and jewelers supply company in Chicago in the early 1900's. His son, Hank Paulson's dad also ran the company and built handmade wooden Jewelers Supply Boxes. However after examining the nails used to build the box, the design of the box, and the handwriting on the inside this box I am sure my little box was built by the senior; Hank Paulson's grandfather and the founder Henry Paulson I. I use this box store my most precious items My Hotwheels Redline cars from 1966 and 1967. They fit perfectly....like it was meant to be. What is really wild is the way I picked this box...I was driving trying to cut thru a neighborhood to avoid some traffic and I looked on the side of the road and there, on the side of the road, next to a garbage can was the box. I jumped out and grabbed it from the trash and ran back to my car and took off lol. It now sits in the center of my trophy shelf full of my best toys and surrounded by other picks I saved from the landfill. When I think about the sequence of events that led me to this box I swear it feels like...nevermind you would not believe it.
