    IronLace
    (930 items)

The move has begun...but I have already made an acquisition at my new address. The fresh pastures have proven fertile indeed.
A most unusual Victorian glass basket, cased white over lilac with a satin finish, accented with hand painted decoration of cherry blossoms.
I think most likely Bohemian origin.

That's a beautiful glass bowl, perfectly fitting for the garden of a perfect Blue Mountains home.
      Congratulations! Enjoy.

Thanks so much, antiquerose! The house dates from the 1930s. The woodwork is fairly typical of early 20th C Australian homes. Inside, there are some other nice details such as ornate plaster work & 2 fireplaces with original Victorian tiles.
