A continuation beyond the funky psychedelic hippie shirt which belonged to Daniel List. Have a vintage advertising placard for the Village Voice underground newspaper, a neon green advertising bumper sticker for them, a 1970s issue of the paper and some jpeg photos of the late Mr. List. Another story his son shared... " He was a journalist for the Village Voice for years, and he went through his hippie period around the time he took me (when I was 6) to the follow up concert after woodstock called Strawberry Fields. We drove up in his AMC hornet with dry ice and a cooler, and I spent a lot of time being cared for by perfect strangers at the concert while he did the rounds." LOVE when beyond the period artifacts there is a history, the stories of a real human being who lived the era.
Yesterday, one year after ending it's paper edition for a digital-only format, The Village Voice published its final edition.
I sure made those rounds, & don't remember a "dry nite". (If you know what I mean) . LOL !!
