Mystery to me. I have 2 that appear to be similar other than size. The one pictured is the larger of the two.
There is a small 3 leaf clover stamped into the main latch on the front of the trunk.
Would love an education on this piece.

That is a beautiful trunk plus it has the interior. Not many have that interior tray. Looks like late 1880s and in original condition.
