Former "SPACE CADET"????? Who me???

Pictured here is a SPACE CADET patch from the early 1950's. There was a television show called TOM CORBETT, SPACE CADET televised from 1950 - 1955 that I must have watched as a kid ( although I really don't recall the episodes). As I looked through boxes that hold many childhood items of mine....there it was. An official SPACE CADET patch that showed signs of it being sewn on my shirt many years ago. It appears my parents bought a box of Kelloggs Corn Flakes with an offer to join the SPACE ACADEMY for only 25 cents that obviously I couldn't resist. Membership included a certificate, interplanetary membership card, badge, patch, decoder. Somehow I let my membership in this SPACE ACADEMY expire, but it was still fun recalling early childhood memories.
