      Hi . . . new to CW. This was a promotional mortar and pestle from the Schering Corporation. If a druggist bought a certain amount of Coricidin, he/she would get a free mortar and pestle. Promotion ran for 40 or so years, each year a different theme to the mortar and pestle. Ebers Papyrus was made in 1964 and was #2 in their series. It's actually made of a zinc compound by a company called ABCO Diecasters in NJ. Stay safe. Allen
